- Improving the National Assembly Library (NAL)'s status.
- First phase (2008-2012)
Targeted Asian libraries (under the name "Book Donation Project to Asian Countries").
Selected and provided books related to Korean politics, economics, society, history, culture, and science and technology.
Sent a total of 11,565 books to five libraries, including the National Central Library of Taiwan, for five years.
- Second phase (2013-2017)
Provide support to five additional libraries according to the results of the demand survey conducted by NAL.
Change its name to "Window to Korea" due to the expansion of the supported libraries from those in the Asian countries alone to those in several countries worldwide.
Add non-book materials to introduce the Korean culture through various media.
Send a list of gift-to-be materials in advance to meet the information demands of the supported libraries.
- As of December 2014, a total of 10 libraries <See the list of libraries>.
- Korean publications released within two years, containing an introduction of Korea.
- Outstanding books selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, university presses, and research institutes to be prioritized.
- Supported libraries' requested materials can be considered.
- Non-book materials about the Korean culture and arts, such as the Korean TV dramas, movies, and music.
